Pajama Talks
Pajama Talks is a warmly melancholic piece of theatre that follows best friends Abby and Nina as they revisit their childhood sleepovers, facing up to some difficult memories alongside the ‘fun’ ones.
Sofia Tarczy-Hornoch’s script moves fluidly between playful nostalgia and quieter, more existential territory without ever feeling heavy-handed, giving the piece a genuinely moving core. Sylvie Tamar and Kira Stone as the two younger leads bring an easy, believable chemistry to their roles, and the staging is simple but well thought out, using the intimate sleepover setting to good effect.
It's a small, tender show that doesn't overreach itself, dealing with its subject matter with sensitivity and emotional intelligence.
